H Rajagopal, the founder, and proprietor of the popular chain of hotels in Tamil Nadu, Saravana Bhavan, has been given a life sentence for his involvement in a murder case. The court has ordered Rajagopal to surrender before July 7 in connection with the murder case.
The murder case had been happening for quite a while, and it began when Rajagopal was found to have involved in getting his employee Prince Santhakumar murdered so as to marry his wife Jeevajothi as his third wife, as per the advice of an astrologer.
Earlier, the Chennai high court awarded a life sentence in 2009 to Rajagopal along with eight other persons accused in the case, who were hired by him to murder Santhakumar. Rajagopal was out on bail, and now with Supreme Court’s announcement to uphold High court verdict, he will be in life imprisonment.
