The Puducherry CM Velu Narayanasamy made some sensational comments on Telangana CM KCR’s Federal Front. He called it just a mere daydream as it won’t be possible without the support of Congress, and BJP.
However, the Puducherry CM opined that there should be a national level policy on river water sharing. For this, the Centre should involve all the states as stakeholders to evolve a procedure after arriving a common consensus. The Centre didn’t take opinions of Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala on Kekedatu dam on Kaveri river, and has issued approvals. It’s nothing but the unilateral decision of the Centre.
“I agree that all the states and ruling parties should come onto a common platform to discuss and resolve burning issues among states. But, what KCR is working on a Federal front involving regional parties barring Congress and BJP. This may not be possible. KCR’s mission Federal Front wouldn’t take off,” he said.
Narayanasamy is a Congress politician who previously served as Member of Parliament, representing Puducherry in the Lok Sabha.
