Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed on Friday that the Bharatiya Janata party was about to repeat history and people are going to vote him back to power again, in his first ever appearance before the press which happens to be at the very end of his tenure as the Prime Minister of the country.
Narendra Modi was flanked by President of Bharatiya Janata party Amit Shah on one side and national General Secretary Ram Lal on the other side at the press briefing at the headquarters of the party in New Delhi.
Narendra Modi told that really it happens that a majority government is going to come to power again after completing five years in the government and also thanked the country and the people who remained with him through lows and highs.
It is to be noted that Narendra Modi has been criticised for not addressing a single press conference in his tenure as the prime minister in the last 5 years and today’s interaction definitely comes as a surprise to many.
Narendra Modi, however, did not take questions and chose to deflect them to the party president instead saying that the chief is everything in BJP. Amit Shah took all the questions even including the ones regarding the number of seats the party expects and the federal front proposed by Chief Minister of Telangana Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao.
