NO OFFERING OF NAMAZ IN PUBLIC PLACES: UP POLICE

Uttar Pradesh police officials have issued a notice to the companies and other offices that are located in the industrial hub of Noida stating that the employees of the company mustn’t offer namaz in open public places and this includes parks too.

As per the notice given by Sector 58 police station any company in the specified industrial area will be held responsible in case its employees are found offering namaz in public places. They have been suggested to offer Friday prayers during the work hours inside mosques, idgahs or inside the company’s premises.

The notice also highlights that earlier a request to city magistrate seeking permission to offer prayers in the park was denied.

On December 20, Allahabad High Court decision had denied a petition asking permission to offer namaz’ at the highly disputed place in Ayodhya.

The High Court had also levied a fine of Rs 5 lakh on the petitioner, stating that the appeal was filed for just cheap publicity.
