After two colossal duds like ‘Akhil’, and ‘Hello’, the Akkineni young lad is set to test his luck with the ‘Mr. Majnu’which got released amidst decent buzz. Let’s see whether the movie can live up to the expectations or not.

Vicky (Akhil) is a Casanova is an NRI who is against the serious relationships and enjoys each and every moment of his life. In the process, he meets Nikki (Nidhi Aggarwal) and tries to woo her. After a few rejections, Nikki finally falls for Vicky and proposes to him. Though he initially accepts her love, he starts ignoring her as he feels that he is not the right guy for her. Eventually, problems in the love story blossom and the couple fall apart. Rest of the story is as to how Vicky takes things in his hands and wins his love back.

Though the story has nothing new to offer, the presentation and production values make it look grandeur on screen.

Akhil’s performance is another major asset.

Priyadarshi and Hyper Aadi’s comedy works in parts

Routine story

Second half

On the whole, ‘Mr. Majnu’ is a new-age love story which lacks a proper emotional connect. With a decent first half and average second half, the movie is a one-time watch.
