MP GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES THAT IT HAS NOT BANNED ‘THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER’

On Friday, it was announced by the government of Madhya Pradesh, led by Congress party that it has not banned the movie ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ that features Anupam Kher essaying the role of former prime minister of India, Manmohan Singh. 

Adding that recent media reports announcing the band are not factual, Madhya Pradesh’s department of public relations took to Twitter to announce that there is no decision by the government of Madhya Pradesh to ban the movie. The movie has sparked a controversy over alleged fact distortion.

This clarification comes after a section of media reported that ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ based on the book titled with the same name by Manmohan Singh’s media advisor Sanjaya Baru has been banned in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

The trailer of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ was released recently, featuring a motley of artistes essaying the key roles of the Nehru-Gandhi family and Anupam Kher stepping into the shoes of the former prime minister.
