MEET THE DYNAMIC INDIAN-AMERICAN NAMED ‘FEDEX’ PRESIDENT

Rajesh Subramaniam an Indian-Amercian has been chosen as the president as well as the chief executive officer of the US-based multinational courier delivery giant FedEx Express.

Currently, the Indian-Amercian is serving as the executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer of FedEx Corporation. He is expected to take up his new role from January 1, 2019, onwards. He is stepping in place of David L Cunningham.

Rajesh Subramaniam is an IIT-Bombay graduate from Thiruvananthapuram; he has been working with FedEx for more than 27 years in various capacities. 

His first job was with Memphis and he later shifted to Hong Kong. There he oversaw marketing and customer service operations for the Asia Pacific region.

Afterwards, he took up the role of president of FedEx Express in Canada; but he moved back after a while to the US as senior vice president of international marketing.

In 2013, he was promoted as executive vice president at FedEx Services.

David J Bronczek, president and chief operating officer, said,” Raj’s global vision and broad experience make him uniquely qualified to lead our largest operating company. We look forward to the continued growth of FedEx Express within our global portfolio as Raj takes on this critical role.”
