Kobbari Gasagasala Payasam recipe

This mouth watering dessert recipe belongs to South India. this recipes not only tasty but is also very healthy and helps in improving digestion, managing levels of blood pressure and is one of the most common delicacies.


Grated coconut- two cup
Poppy seeds- half cup
Sugar- half cup
Cashews- one tablespoon
Almonds- one tablespoon
Rice- two tablespoon
Green cardamom- 2


Add poppy seeds and rice to a heated pan over medium flame and keep roasting them until they turn golden.
Take them out in a bowl once done and add hot water, letting them soak for 10 minutes.
Add this content to a grinder for making a thick paste.
Add this paste along with green cardamom and sugar to another heated pan over medium flame.
Add dry fruits to the dish after cooking the dish for a few minutes on simmer flame.
Before taking out the dish into small dessert bowls, cook it for another 2 minutes.
Serve it hot.
