Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao called former Minister P. Mahender Reddy, TRS join secretary Pochampally Srinivas Reddy and other leaders T Chinnappa Reddy as TRS candidate for the by-polls to three MLC seats along with handing over B-forms to the candidates. The last day to submit the nominations is tomorrow.
While Mahender Reddy, who worked as a transport minister in the earlier term will contest from Ranga Reddy, Srinivas Reddy and Chinnappa Reddy will contest from Warangal and Nalgonda, individually. While Mahender Reddy lost to Congress candidate Rohit Reddy lately Srinivas Reddy has been in-charge of KTR’s election campaign in the state. While Chinnappa Reddy had left from the TDP and joined the TRS.
The Election Commission announced the information for by-poll to three MLC seats which fell free when three sitting MLC has quit. The three MLC posts had fallen idle after Patnam Narendra Reddy, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and Konda Murali left to contest in the Assembly elections as MLAs. Polling for these positions will be conducted on May 31st and the nation of votes will be done on June 3rd along with the announcement of the results.
