The sudden demise of Jayalalithaa has created a huge vacuum in Tamilnadu politics and given the chance to the actors like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to test their luck in TN politics. Though Rajinikanth is yet to clear his stance in the Tamilnadu politics, Kamal Haasan has already launched his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam chief (MNM).
Though it’s been close to a year since Kamal Haasan has launched MNM, he hasn’t given any clarity on the party’s agenda and plans. Ending all the speculations, Kamal Haasan has announced that his MNM would contest for 2019 Lok Sabha elections and is yet to decide on the alliance.
Addressing a press conference here after the party’s executive meeting to discuss parliamentary elections, Kamal said the MNM is willing to form a single-minded alliance in the parliamentary elections.”Our members have given me the chance to take decisions on party alliance. I am yet to hear various things on alliance from various sides,” he said.
