JeM Chief Masood Azhar is reportedly dead, Pakistan has not confirmed yet

Reports have come to light that the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed and terrorist Masood Azhar is dead. Though the government of Pakistan is yet to make an official announcement, Masood Azhar was severely injured in the airstrike that was led by Indian Air Force according to the information received from the Pakistani local media reports.

Masood Azhar was the leader and founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organisation that was mainly active in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Foreign minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi recently told in an interview admitting that chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad Maulana Masood Azhar is in Pakistan but claimed that Masood Azhar was very unwell and not in a position of even leaving his house.

Masood Azhar’s group was responsible for the Pulwama terrorist attack in which 40 CRPF Indian personnel were martyred. Harkat-ul-Mujahideen hijacked Indian Airlines flight 814 with implicit support from ISI of Pakistan for freeing two terrorists and Masood Azhar who were in Indian custody.
