Just three days before the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the war of words between Samajwadi Party’s Azam Khan and BJP’s Jaya Prada escalated after Azam Khan made a crass jibe at Jayaprada by referring to her “khaki innerwear” while addressing a rally on Sunday.
However, Azam Khan chose to defend his statement saying that his comment had been “distorted” by the media. While Sushma Swaraj urged SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav to speak up against Khan, the BJP filed an FIR against him. A furious Jaya Prada also lashed out at Khan for “crossing all limits” and vowed to defeat him in the polls.
Meanwhile, Himachal BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti also landed in a controversy after he used an obscene slur to attack Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for calling PM Narendra Modi ‘chor’ or thief. Satti said that if Gandhi can mock PM Modi as ‘chor’, then he is also free to abuse him.
