IPL 2019 awards: Who won what

After having a tough season last year, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians came back strong this year to become the first team of IPL to win the title four times by defeating the defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 1 run.

CSK leg-spinner Imran Tahir emerged as the highest wicket-taker winning the coveted ‘Purple Cap’ in IPL 2019. Incidentally, Tahir also became the oldest player at 40 to win the ‘Purple Cap’ in the league.

SRH’s David Warner (692 runs), who was in superb form with the bat in the entire season won the Orange Cap.

Youngster Shubhman Gill bagged the award of the ‘emerging player’ after the conclusion of the 2019 Indian Premier League.

KKRs’ flamboyant all-rounder Andre Russell, who hit the most sixes this season, won the Super Striker of the Season and the Most Valuable Player of the Season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the Fairplay award in the 2019 Indian Premier League.
