Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale on Tuesday verified that India “struck the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot.”
He also validated that, “In this operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commanders and groups of jihadis were eliminated.”
Mr Gokhale continued that, “Credible information was received that JeM was trying other attacks in the country. A pre-emptive strike became necessary. India hit the biggest camp of JeM in Balakot.
“The Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has been operating in Pakistan for two decades. It is led by Azhar Masood. Pakistan has taken no strong action to destroy the terror base in the country. It has refused the presence of JeM,” he said.
