Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s onfield confrontation with umpires during an IPL game was defended by former India captain Sourav Ganguly. Chennai super kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni lost his cool though he was not meant to be on the field for playing and rushed out of the dug-out for challenging empire Ulhas Gandhe during the IPL encounter on Thursday night against Rajasthan royals.
On being asked about the controversy, Sourav ganguly told that everyone is human and that what stands out is Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s competitiveness which is remarkable. Dhoni was slept off with 50% fine on his match fee but former cricketers came down heavily on him for his act saying that Dhoni set a wrong precedent. Sourav Ganguly, advisor of Delhi capitals team, however, had a smile on his face after a seven-wicket victory was posted by the visitors over hosts Kolkata Knight riders on Friday night at the Eden gardens.
