DONALD TRUMP PLEDGES TO REFORM THE H-1B VISA PROCESS

Saying that all he wants is to provide a potential path to citizenship and increase highly skilled and talented people to pursue career options in the United States, on Friday, President of United States of America Donald Trump pledged to reform the H-1B visa process, a skilled temporary guest worker programme that is widely used by professionals from India.

This unexpected outreach by the president towards guest workers from foreign countries comes amid the need for a southern border wall and furious debate over immigration reform which he says is need for staunching illegal immigrants while pledging of smoothening the path for legal immigration.

Approximately 4 lakh foreign guest workers also including more than 300000 professionals from India are stuck in what is called H-1B Limbo, their route to permanent citizenship and residency squeezed by obsessive focus on resolving the illegal immigration issue and country specific quotes at the expense of the legal immigration gridlock.
