Summer season calls for some cold deserts that are delicious and also help in keeping the temperature of the body down at the same time. Cantaloupe granita or Muskmelon granita can be easily prepared at home. Give it a try and see if it can go with your menu.
Muskmelon: 1 ( medium sized)
Sugar: 1/4 cup
Lemon juice: 1/2 tablespoon
Ice cubes: 6
Water: half cup
To begin with, wash the muskmelon, peel and chop it into two small pieces. Heat some water in a pan over medium flame.
Add sugar to the boiling water. Keep stirring constantly until the sugar gets dissolved completely. Place it aside and let it cool down.
Add ice cubes, lemon juice, muskmelon sugar syrup into a food processor for blending them smoothly. Shift this mixture into a freezer-safe container and place it in the refrigerator for approximately an hour.
Take it out of the refrigerator after an hour and stir with a fork and keep it back in the freezer again. Freeze it until it completely sets and then and go ahead with serving.
