On Saturday, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, former Union minister was appointed as national spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata party, by party president Amit Shah. In a party statement, it was made clear that his appointment will be taking place with immediate effect.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy is a Lok Sabha MP from Bihar who had even one over Rabri Devi, wife of RJD president Lalu Prasad in 2014 general elections and who has held the key position of a general secretary and the organisational responsibilities in the past as well.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy took to Twitter to express his thanks to prime minister Narendra Modi and Bhartiya Janta party president Amit Shah, stating that he looks forward to responsibility as the national spokesperson for taking the government’s achievements under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi forward.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy was the minister in the first Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and also held the position of minister in Modi government, though he was later dropped in a cabinet reshuffle.
