Bharatiya Janata Party national spokesperson Sambit Patra is in trouble as a Bhopal Court has issued an arrest warrant, which is bailable, against the leader. The court has issued the warrant on Thursday accusing the BJP leader of violating the model code of conduct at the time of Madhya Pradesh elections.
The arrest warrant was issued as the leader failed to appear before the court. The state police have also filed a charge sheet in the case.
However, the other co-accused in the case BJP leader SS Uppal appeared as directed by the court and was given bail on an assurance of personal bond of Rs.5000.
The case was registered by the police and some others on account of a complaint raised by the Election Commission.
