Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Chief of Telugu Desam Party Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Lucknow today evening for meeting leaders of Bahujan Samaj party and Samajwadi Party in continuation to his efforts for putting together an anti-BJP coalition.
Chandrababu Naidu reached Lucknow after meeting with President Of Congress Party Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. Chandrababu Naidu was scheduled to meet Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav at the residence of the the BSP president.
Chandrababu Naidu has already held several discussions with several opposition leaders including Chief of Trinamool Congress Mamata Banerjee, National convener of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal and General Secretary of CPI(M) Sitaram Yechury. Telugu Desam Party had been a part of the National Democratic Alliance and had quit the alliance just a few months ago.
It is to be noted that the opposition parties are now pitching for a joint anti-BJP front for steering the next government at the centre.
