The verdict of people regarding who is going to rule the state of Andhra Pradesh for the next 5 years is going to be declared very soon as vote counting begins today for the Assembly elections of the state at 8 AM.
Chief of Telugu Desam Party and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu, who secured 185 seats in the Assembly elections 2014, is seeking re-election for a second term in power in face of challenge from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who secures 67 seats in previous Assembly election.
It is to be noted that results of most of the exit polls have predicted that the YSR Congress Party would be getting to power with comfortable majority alongside the victory of TDP predicted by Lagadapati survey.
Leaders of several other parties have also pointed out that results of exit polls often go wrong. The demand of Nara Chandrababu Naidu for tallying VVPAT slips work EVMs before the vote counting begins has been turned down by the Election Commission of India.
