All set for the last phase of Lok Sabha polls

The seventh phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections which happen to be one of the most bitterly fought in recent memory are going to come to close today when polling is going to be held in 59 constituencies even including the Varanasi constituency where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking re-election for retaining the seat.

Polling is going to be held in 13 seats of Punjab and 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 8 seats in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, 9 seats in West Bengal, 3 seats in Chandigarh and Jharkhand, 4 seats in Himachal Pradesh.

Approximately 10.01 crore voters are likely to exercise their franchise and decide the fate of 918 candidates. The Election Commission of India had arranged nearly 1.12 lakh polling booths for the conduct of the polls in a smooth and peaceful manner.
