Vivekananda Reddy murder case: Cops take 4 into custody

The cops took four people into custody to question in connection with the murder case of YSR Congress leader YS Vivekananda Reddy. The State government-appointed Special Investigation Team for investigating into the murder inspected the crime scene at Vivekananda Reddy’s residence in Pulivendula on Saturday.

Chief additional director general of the special investigation team (CID) Amit Garg, DIG of Kurnool range Nagendra Kumar, IPS officer Abhishek Mohanty and superintendent of police of Kadapa Rahul Dev Sharma inspected the scene of offence. The clues gathered by forensic team and fingerprint experts have also been reviewed by them. The special investigation team later interacted with daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy N Sunitha and sister of YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Sharmila for gathering details pertaining to the murder case.

On the other hand, four persons including personal assistant Krishna Reddy, driver Prasad, a close aide of YS Vivekananda Reddy Yerra Gangi Reddy and maid Lakshmi were taken into custody by the Special Investigation Team for questioning. Amit Garg informed that the investigation is on and further details would be revealed on Sunday.
